Everything you need to know

Q: What is the purpose of the Fit-Star Challenge?
A: Fit-Star Challenge will give your daughter an opportunity to have tons of fun participating in this exciting program while raising money for our scholarship fund. Scholarships are awarded to girls eagerly awaiting a chance to attend Bas Melech. Each $18 donation pays for one class. All tzedakah donations are tax-deductible. It’s a win-win situation – your daughter will raise tzedakah and get so many benefits from these amazing classes!

Q: How much does my daughter need to raise to participate?
A: $90 minimum (5 scholarship classes). We encourage the participants to continue raising money, even after they meet the $90 minimum. We will be awarding additional prizes for girls who raise $180 and up to be distributed at a later date. We want all our participants to feel like equal winners!!

Q: I understand the $90 is Tzedakah. What is included with my registration?
A: Upon raising the minimum of $90, the girls receive the benefit of 5 great classes to attend and enjoy, a Fit-Star wristband, a professional performance, and an elegant desert buffet (muffins, smoothies, and other delicious healthy treats).

Q: Do I need to come with my daughter?
A: No, this is a drop-off event. Pre-arranged volunteer mother will be in charge of the younger division and be there to guide the older division as they move from room to room.

Q: What will my daughter be doing during the challenge?
A: She will spend 15 minutes in each of the four challenge rooms, participating in:

Challenge 1: Obstacle Course
A fun obstacle course in our main gym, which features over $80,000 worth of equipment. Girls will crawl, climb, jump, and swing to a great selection of Jewish Music.

Challenge 2: Yoga Room
A calming yoga experience in a transformed room, led by Kelly Weckesser, ASANA Yoga Champion.

Challenge 3: Cosmic Dance Room
Dance away to the latest Jewish music hits in our new dance room, complete with special effects.

Challenge 4: Track Room
Run a track course around our new 50-square-foot gym, set up with hurdles, barrels, and other fun apparatuses.

Q: How does my daughter approach people to request donations?
A: children and teens should only approach family, friends, and neighbors. Upon registering, you will receive brochures in the mail that your daughter can hand out to potential donors. They will include a description of what she is raising money for, and how to donate.
